Scott Baio - "Wanted For Love"
Do It Old Maid has the track "Wanted For Love" off the 1982 self-titled Scott Baio album available for download... it's transferred from vinyl, and the added distortion makes it sound like really cool electroclash for about 3 seconds.
Mr. Baio will be replacing Henry Winkler on Fox's Arrested Development this season. Chachi, Baio's career-launching character from Happy Days, was The Fonz's cousin. However, it does not appear that Baio's character will be related to Barry Zuckerkorn, whom Winkler portrayed during the first two seasons of the brilliant but struggling sit-com.

You failed to mention the hilarious fact that his character's name is Bob Loblaw.

I never thought I'd ever see the name "Scott Baio" on Stereogum. So great!

This is really scary. I looked at that cover and I actually owned that album. I hang my head in shame.

Is it just me or does Sean Faris ( http://www.seanfaris.com/home.html ) from Life As We Know It, look a lot like Scott Baio?
And yes, that is him singing on the website... scary, huh?

arrested development is the best show on television.

I was joking about him singing. I need to stop doing that.

God, that's horrible news. Wasn't the rumor that Ricky Gervais was going to replace Winkler? This is like opening up a vaguely Red Ryder Air Rifle shaped Christmas present only to find an itchy, too big sweater cleverly (but cruelly) placed inside.
If they had to scrounge up another Happy Days character Pat Morita would have been so much better. The Karate Kid storyline with George Michael almost writes itself.

Arrested Development won't be struggling for long, it has a fairly large life on DVD and an emmy and golden globs in its pockets and a great new time slot, and it is the funniest show on television. Huzzah!

awesome. that track makes the baby jesus cry, i know it does.

I would prefer Jenny Piccolo over Ralph Morita. She could give George Micael his first hand-job!

The best Scott Baio song is definitely "What am I Supposed to Do?" Look for it if you can.

I'm sorry, but I have to bring up something I saw pop up on my computer. The new Britney Spears commerical for her new perfume.
It's funny, and if you're curious (no pun intended) look for it on AOL.com it's for her new "Fantasy" scent.

I noticed there was a link to bronson arroyo music a few months back. I would love to hear that one and any others. It should at least be good for a laugh if nothing else. So if anyone out there sees this post a link. thanks!

And you know what's more horrible?? All the negative prejudice and cruel bigotry that poor Scott Baio has to endure and suffer from the venomous likes of ignorant clem.
For the correct information of everyone here, the people behind "Arrested Development" intend to use Ricky Gervais as a guest star sometime in the final episodes of this season or most probably in the next season. (He might be playing an eccentric millionaire who attempts a corporate takeover of the troubled Bluth empire.)
Gervais has absolutely nothing to do with Mr. Baio's current guest appearances on the show as the new family lawyer. The series needs Scott because Henry Winkler has left them to do his own new sitcom at CBS.
Please leave Chachi alone. He deserves a good break like anybody else. And too many vicious individuals are hurting the poor guy. Stop it.

I totally agree with Loki. And here's something more for you guys to ponder on: A few years ago, Scott Baio acted in a number of excellent independent movies. One of them entitled "The Bread, My Sweet" (a.k.a. "A Wedding For Bella") won several top prizes at various regional film festivals. Moreover, Scott himself earned 3 Best Actor Awards for his leading role therein in the Atlantic City Film Festival, the Kansas City Halfway To Hollywood Film Festival and the San Diego Film Festival. He also performed marvelously in two other ensemble independent flicks "Very Mean Men" and "Face To Face" (a.k.a. "Italian Ties").
Now surely, there must be some way for creatures like Clemfolk to admire and heroworship comic geniuses like Mr. Rick Gervais of "The Office" without cruelly denigrating innocent hard-working showbiz veterans like Mr. Scott Baio. And one must always remember that Scott as a Republican-voting celebrity and artist has to work under more difficult circumstances within Hollywood dominated by hostile leftwing cultural elites.
Please keep all of that in mind when you think of making fun of him. He really deserves a whole lot better.

I think Scott is a great actor...he has the unique ability to make his characters real... it isnt easy to allow yourself to be a real person... everyone on tv is always trying to be the best looking... sexiest.. and Scott does by just being the normal person... kudos to him!
