Or just wait another 5 or 6 months until they reveal their full tour itinerary which will probably see dates close to your current location, save you money on a bus/plane ticket and well, just not be as dumb as buying tickets to a show a whole year away.

I bought tickets well after two minutes, I see other reports it closed out at 10:29. Maybe you were exaggerating, no biggie...
But- wasn't this just a presale anyway?

It's kind of funny how people flock in droves to see a band that wasn't even that great live or popular for that matter when they were around in the 90's. I remember sseing them at Irving Plaza and not even staying until the end. I hope they are better this time around. They have a year to get it together! Says a lot about the state of rock today.

Anyone know the presale code for this thing?

I was like an adolescent for most of the nineties. Can you cut me some slack for getting into Pavement a little later in my life?

Saw'em twice in the 90s during Zowee and Corners. Both shows were rock solid. Bob alone is worth the price of admission. Ibold's a solid bassist and holds it all down. Malkmus counts off songs by smacking his gum four times It all works. If you were too young to see'em, you'll dig. Irving Plaza's sound sucks.
That said, I'm going to wait for the tour dates and hope it's not $40 when they play near me.

I am a little afraid they'll play a few shows realize why they broke up and I'll never see them. I wish they would announce those tour dates soon.
