Pretty solid list, all things considered. I really love that "Had a Bad Day" song by DANIEL FUCKING POWTER??!!! ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME??? BROOKE HOGAN? YOU COULD CUT A ROAST ON THAT GIRL'S NOSE. You're telling me that AOL really fell for that single of hers with Paul Wall trying to convince everybody that she's actuallt famous? PARIS FUCKING HILTON??? KELLIE FUCKING PICKLER? (Oh man, though! It's so cute how she makes a 'callimari' joke on her new flaccid country album! Cause remember that one episode of a fucking talent show a year and half ago when she...) Shame AOL. Fucking shame.

Wow.

Just wow.

Paris Hilton is in America's top 25. This whole list reads like Dante's Inferno.

I really do hate Hinder with all my heart. They make me ashamed to be from Oklahoma City!

Wow, Dante's Inferno is right... so glad I have no idea what's "popular"

I'm surprised the Fray wasn't #1. They're all the high schoolers ever talk about. (They're so much cooler than the Goo Goo Dolls, because they don't say "fuck" all the time. And like ohmygod I loooooove his voice *swoons* MARRY ME! MARRY ME!)

Heh, reads like Dante's Inferno...

wow. i'd love to go out for a night of clubbing with the tastemakers who collaborated on this list. genius. i do pride myself on the fact that i have no clue who about half of these "artists" are.

i've honestly and truly never heard of at least a third of those people, and another third i've never actually heard anything performed by them. i started to be embarrassed about being this out of touch but i'm pretty sure it's for the best.

As a fellow Oklahoman I have to agree with you Jake. I hate Hinder with all my heart as well. I hope the people at AOL who compiled this list have a shitty Christmas.

I don't what all of you are talking about. The musical stylings of Hinder and Brooke Hogan are unmatched. Daniel Powter's "Bad Day" is a mirror into my own life. (I just vomitted in my mouth by saying that)

In all seriousness, there is a special circle of hell reserved for the "artists" on this list, the people who have promoted the "artists" on this list, and the makers of this list. I would say that I'm suprised, but the sad part is that I'm not suprised at all. There's a reason why the people on this list end up getting rich while truly deserving artists are probably eating ramen in the back of broken-down tour bus as we speak.

Before everyone breaks their arms patting themselves on the back, please note that the preceding post was a fucking U2 video. Physician, heal thyself.

That list reads as it should. If you only knew the douchebags that actually work at AOL Music. Some of the finest non-music people I have ever come across.

and they'll probably name "high school musical" album of the year.

Well, I don't guess it's much of a surprise, but this is interesting:

5 artists on this list are products of reality television: Daughtry (American Idol), Danity Kane (Making the Band 3), Kellie Pickler (American Idol), Brooke Hogan (Hogan Knows Best) and Mario Vazquez (American Idol - although he quit the show to avoid signing a "restrictive" contract).

I'd say AOL really likes their reality shows; music - not so much.
