Smash Mouth A Cappella

If you were legitimately excited by that title, please seek help. But if you were hoping for laugh, head over to the Grizzly Bear blog, scroll to the bottom, and listen to the isolated vocal track for the unreleased Smash Mouth gem "Days Like These." You'll not regret this.

After you've collected yourself, be sure to grab the Grizzly acoustic sessions in Paris. But when you find yourself drawn to a repeat listen of the siren song that is Steven Harwell's voice (and oh you will), tell us what your favorite line is. We could all use a laugh to send us off to our to our cranberry sauce and stuffing! Like Steven says: It's days like these that let you get your groove on.

Also, LOVE the guitar solo:

I had the file open in another tab, and just when you think it's over ... AGHHHH

I'm torn between these "It's days like these that let you get your groove on" & "Make the holidays last." Oh and my ears are bleeding. Thanks, Ed!

The real question is: what will the mash-up be?

Harwell vs. Jesus Lizard: Smash Mouthbreather ??

Might as well be walking on the sun was such a fluke, it is mind blowing. Look for the remake of "Don't worry be happy" next year. It seems to me they really look at making records as there job, sad.

Take "All Star" turn it on it's side and voila! A whole new song!

Man, that sucked.

the pauses between the scary yelling were really awkward. i feel bad for whoever had to sit in the studio and hear them live.

To be fair, lots of vocal tracks would sound really silly without the context of the song.

Actually, I made a very disturbed face when I read the title. So disturbed, I was moved to post that I was disturbed.

The (bi) music director at the campus radio station for which I DJ makes a point of telling anyone who will listen that Grizzly Bear are gay anytime anyone mentions them.

whatever man. they can do as they damn well please from here on out thanks to fucking 'all star'. and while they've never been a great band, the only reason they stopped recording was because that steve guy's son died. if we'er going to start in on 90's mockery already, lets start with savage garden.
