Spoon Covers Smog

Download Spoon's Flag Day concert at Englewood, CO's Gothic Theater here (via Brooklyn Vegan). Great setlist ... first encore was a cover of Bill Callahan's "Held." Here's the original:

When I saw them a year or so back in NYC the encore was a kick ass cover of "Lowdown" by Wire. It was great.

I've never heard them play "Believing is Art" which makes me sad.

"Held" is one of my favorite smog songs . . . how random it must have been to see them launch into that! I love Smog's new album - really pastoral.

I am super jealous that the people of Denver got "They Never Got You," but I'm thrilled to have an mp3 of the performance.

Awesome! Thanks for the link. I got my Spoon fix a few days after this gig was bootlegged and they rocked The Showbox. I didn't get to see The Clientele open for them though.
