Stereogum Does CMJ: Annuals @ FADER House

Our second Annuals show in 24 hours (we told you we'd be looking out for 'em). The Tar Heel sextet closed with twee-cum-balls out rocker "Brother" (MP3). They opened with that single at Syrup Room the night before at 2 AM. Check the clip and admire their tirelessness. "We're playing all over this fucking city," said bemused lead Annual Adam Baker, reminding the crowd about tonight's High Road Touring Showcase at Bowery. "We'll fit on that stage."

Heh. We said cum-balls.

i agree - not up to par. very unbalanced and the bgv's are rough. this partial recording of "brother" from a hometown show this summer sounds a lot better:
