I recently got an accidental emo cut, sort of. I went, for the first time in my entire life, to a fancy salon. It was the first time I payed more than ten bucks for a haircut. Well, what I didn't know was that at the expensive salon, the hairdressers spend lots of money going to special schools and seminars and stuff to learn the latest, greatest hairddoos. Before I knew it, I had me a pretty emo-looking cut, which freaked me out a little, because I refuse to wear anything that resembles a uniform, even if that thing is a hairstyle.
If I let my hair hang down all the way, I'd look like I should be getting reviewed on Pitchfork. Fortunately, my hair gets annoying, so I keep it tucked behind my ears. It looks slightly girly, but it's better than feeling like a geek (I may look geeky anyway, but I don't feel as geeky).
General trends are expected and kinda cool, like, say, tighter jeans or longer or shorter hair. Ultraspecific ones like certain haircuts, or especially brand-related trends, are lame.
