Stream The New Cold War Kids

After signing to Downtown Records, the first order of business for camp Cold War Kids was to get a full-length together to continue to convert the masses. This they did, and release date is just around the corner. Ten tracks on the new album come from the stellar EPs we know and love, with new tunes "God, Make Up Your Mind" and "Passing The Hat" rounding out the tracklist. But the Kids re-recorded for their big "debut," and we're hoping the new versions don't lose that raw, DIY spunk. Take a listen at AOL and tell us in the morning.

And despite Futureheads having backed out of their upcoming tour, CWK will soldier on, making it their first headlining trek. Get out there and see these guys! Whether they're on the LES or in Norway, no one walks away disappointed.

Robbers & Cowards is out 10/10.

Actually, "Red Wine, Success" is on the With Our Wallets Full EP. "Passing the Hat" is the other new track.

Ahh, "Red Wine Success" must be the song Gracenote listed as "Abcdefg." Thanks for clarifying!

Band To Watch: Blank Dogs

Blank Dogs are actually singular: It's the insanely prolific one-man Brooklyn-based band of Mr. Blank Dog. We don't know too much about the biography of the guy behind the bedroom new-wave pop/punk and he's usually covering his face with masks...

Quit Your Day Job: Megafaun

Raleigh-via-Eau Clair BTW Megafaun debuted impressively earlier this year with Bury The Square. The trio nip-and-tuck experimental tendencies (tape splicing, white noise colliding with banjo, junkyard-laced spring reverb, screeching feedback at the tail end of a quiet back porch lament)...

Premature Evaluation: of Montreal - Skeletal Lamping

Skeletal Lamping is anything but skeletal. When we took a close listen to album closer "Id Engager" we mentioned it wasn't the strangest, most ambitious, or best tune on of Montreal's new one, but after absorbing the other 14 tracks,...
