Stream The New Flaming Lips, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, More

At War With The Mystics and Show Your Bones can be heard on NME.com. You have to give them your "data" if you're not a member, but you know Wayne would do the same to listen to your band. (UPDATE: YYYs also streaming on MySpace.)

Over at AOL.com, you don't need to sign up to hear these:

  • Editors - The Back Room
  • Josh Rouse - Subtitulo
  • Royksopp - Royksopp's Night Out (Live)
  • Sondre Lerche - Duper Sessions
  • The Sounds - Dying To Say This To You

Click around for the new Appleseed Cast, Hot Chip, Mates Of State, and Men, Women & Children too.

All Stereogum-approved, except for that Sounds CD, which I haven't listened to yet. I am curious how Misshapes' Leigh ended up on the cover, though. If you don't have the gossip, make it up...

Ah, bummer. "Men, Women & Children" does not equal "Women & Children." I was hoping for the latter. It's tricky business liking bands with such common names.

The new Sounds CD is pretty damn good, I don't care if there a scene whore on the cover, I've played it at least 20 times since getting the advance copy. "24 hours" is has been stuck in my head for weeks. So there.

    ^^ I whole-heartedly agree.

Whenever I hear them, I can't help but think that all bands from Sweden sound exactly the same (i.e. Hives, Sahara Hotnights, along with the Sounds).
