Stream The White Stripes' Icky Thump

There are still a few days 'til you can get a legit copy of the White Stripes latest, so for those that have avoided the lo-bit DJ Electra mix of Jack and Meg's awesome Icky, head to MTV for a full record stream. The best way to listen without Jack making you cry! And for fans of black-and-white-and-red-all-over portable data storage, the Whites are offering their album in Apple Lossless Format on a 512MB USB drive. Check 'em...

Not cheap at $57.50, but there are only 3,333 in existence (coincidentally the exact number of limited edition vinyl LPs of the White Stripes-covered-classically comp Aluminiium from last year, hmmm). Buy 'em here and give your indie-rock/tech-geek friends a case of serious USB envy.

"for those that have avoided the lo-bit DJ Electra remix..."

Uh, Gum...you do know that the real thing has leaked, right? It took a little more searching than I'm normally used to (i.e. 5 minutes as opposed to 30 seconds), but it's out there. I've been listening to it non-stop since Thursday. I ain't scerrred of Jack White!!

Meg looks a little flat chested on the flash drive representation.

Not to mention all of Easy Tiger. Where's the badly-written Premature Evaluation for that one?

I always appreciate the extra effort the White Stripes put in coming up with fun, gimmicky collectibles. Even if I can't always afford them. (Yes, I'm still sad I didn't get a Triple Inch-o-Phone during their last tour.)

Jack White might have proven himself to be a twat, but these look cool. They know how to market themselves that's for sure.

Steve, are you aware that you have the same name as one of the main characters from Beverly Hills 90210?

Gummer, why's it so mysterious that 3,333 is the number of pressings? The number 3 has a certain resonance for the band, you might recall. . .
