Strokes Start Work On New LP 2/11 @ 2 PM • Members of the Strokes have been busy with their Little Joys and Megapusses, but according to Coldplay collaborator Albert Hammond, Jr., after two years apart they're finally getting back to the band that made people care about all these side projects in the first place. They don't have any songs yet. In fact, so far all he knows is the date and time: "February 11th at 2 o'clock we're going to the studio to hang out and play music."

I'm so sorry for the fans, whenever bands go up into smoke like this. Please note: they don't have any songs at all at the moment. You can hope for a 2010 release at the most.
