Sufjan/Kanye Mash-Up

Gorilla VS Bear posted a Sufjan/Kanye boot a while back. This seems like a good time to link to it. Crabwalk is hosting:

Sufjan Stevens VS Kanye West - "Zombies Walk" (MP3)

(Otherwise, try here.)

Thanks Jerry for the heads up.

Whats the deal with the disgusting and distracting flute synth disgustingness that comes in at about 1:04? Its totally ruining this decent mashup.

hot tracks here:

Gag me with a fucking spoon.

There should be Jon Brion/Sufjan Stevens mash-ups. Chicago + Gotta Start Somewhere? Anyone?

Oh! And as for those put off by a blatant Christian message, hello? Pedro the Lion anyone? Just because there's a Christian message in there somewhere doesnt make it crap.

I forgot to mention I'm also currently digging The Polyphonic Spree. <3

Holy Shit!!! Why do we wvwn know about this turd? How did you listen to it and think to yourself "yeah, I really want other people to hear this." I'm not big on mashups- I only make 'em every now and then to kill time... This song SUCKS. Like really really bad. It's just a mess. Some songs don't belong together understand?

Ummmmm....I don't hate it. I think it's pretty much a good song with some rapping as background music. I think the vocals go along with the tune. I don't know. I haven't really heard either song before, so I might be biased by my naivete, but still. Altho I'm not diggin the flute.

yeah the flute is terrible, but I think it could be alright otherwise. they should have made the vocals louder because they're drowned out by the instrumentals

This is a pretty kickin' track-o, but there's an unsettling amount of dissonance happening. Makes my spinal cord bend in half.

Am I allowed some self-promotion? I made a mashup with this same Sufjan song not too long ago; except I mixed it with Feist's "Inside Out." Here's the result: http://kev.elbowroomdesign.com/45/feist-sufjan-stevens-a-mash-up-about-zombies/

YES! listen to Kevan's Mashup of Feist and Sufjan, is unbelievably perfect! I listened to it when he first posted in several months ago and i'm still obsessed with it!

The BPM needs to match up better, but I like the idea. Check out a mashup I've done with Ludacris over Sufjan (better BPM match up): http://www.myspace.com/weusedtomicrowave
