The Police On Sale At 9AM

Ticketbastard sucks for too many reasons to list, but at least they don't have Virtual Waiting Rooms. So head there at 9AM (in ten minutes!) for tickets to The Police's Madison Square Garden shows (Fenway at 10AM). Good luck, and take us if you get 'em.

But don't worry if you get shut out, New Yorkers, there's always newyorkticketsonline.com. A lot of you mentioned that you'd be willing to spend good $$ to see one of the reunion shows, which makes sense, but the spread on ticket prices for the 8/1 show @ MSG is unreal. $124 for Section 427, okay. But how much for 2nd row center floor? Guess then jump.

Section Floor 2 Row B (2nd Row, Center Floor) -- $6,000. And it's only gonna get worse. Good luck with TM!

UPDATE 9:03AM. We got through immediately, but after waiting in queue, were told no tix were available to meet our search (2 tickets, any price, Wednesday 8/1). SHUT OUT. Sold out in less than two minutes? Probably. Anybody get?

Was connected and searching for two 8/3 tix at 9:00 on the dot. 1 minute wait time... then 2... then 3... then 4... then 3... 3... 3... and all of a sudden, at 9:02, no tickets available. Unreal.

Am I the only one that finds the Police to be utterly boring and overrated? Roxanne, Don't Stand So Close to Me, Every Breath You Take: All songs I can go without hearing ever again. Sting can't even hit the high notes anymore. What a snoozefest.

Well, I tried the presale-presale-presale-presale where you had to be a Best Buy member, then couldn't participate in the presale-presale-presale where you had to be a Police Tour fan club member. Considered, the presale-presale where you had to join the fan club ($100) before seeing if tickets were even left, then actually tried the presale where you could find seats and then pay $100 to join the fan club.

In each case: nothing. Maybe I need a mouse with a faster 'click' button or something...

Brian- same thing happened to me. I'm gonna try for tickets at Hartford though if that winds up actually happening.

I did the fan club presale thing to avoid getting shut out and got my tickets last week. I sprung for the $90 whatever tickets in NYC and got fifth row section 316. Everything considered it cost me about $130 a ticket. I'm pretty damn happy.

No one's crying more than us - $500 for 2 tix - through Best Buy presale for Atlanta show. Not even on the floor. Please hand me a gun?
