The Sexual Life Of The Savages
I owe y'all some MP3s. Since Stereo's been out of the indie rock loop for a week (Youth Group?) you get cuts from The Sexual Life Of The Savages, a comp I picked up on Gerald's recommendation a few weeks back.
If LCD Soundsystem, Maximo Park, and Radio 4 are rocking your iPod these days (it's OK, neo-post-punk's so hott right now) you'll enjoy the Brazillian contemporaries of Gang of Four, ESG, and Liquid Liquid.
Gang 90 - "Jack Kerouac" (MP3)
As Mercenarias - "Inimigo" (MP3)

Youth Group??? Shit, I never thought they'd be the ones to make any kind of impact in the states...

If Maximo Park, LCD Soundsystem, and Radio 4 were rocking your iPod a few months ago, then you surely are a god amongst men who must find it oh so degrading to constantly be surrounded by those who lack the style, taste and early bandwagoneering skills you possess.

I was under the impression I had the rest of my life to explore and enjoy these bands. Why bother now that I'm "late"?

It's that kind of comment that proves that 90% of you fucking "poser" scenesters/hipsters enjoy music for the wrong reasons.

I still don't understand why you'd want to hear most of them when you can just as easily pick up a copy of "Closer" or, hell, "Three Imaginary Boys" and feel a lot less used by marketeers.
If John Cale from the 70s and a bunch of random shit you limewired is rockin' your ipod lately, then you're me.

Hey, someone's heard of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah Or, everyone's heard of them, and I mistakenly thought I was one of the first to discover the next big thing in indie rock. Either way, they're great. So is Youth Group. Skeleton Jar just blows me away every time I listen to it.

Yeah this comp is great, there's another Brazilian post punk comp called "Nao Wave" thats good too. If you like what you hear, I also posted two tracks on azizisbored.com. Check it.

Speaking of MP3's (or in this case MP4's), I found a directory with The Mars Volta's Deloused In the Comatorium CD.
Here's the link:

I've just heard the one Mars Volta song that's always on alt. radio stations... Not sure if I dig them yet.
cheers!
