This Is Your LOLCat. This Is Your LOLCat On Drugs.

We were incredulous at first, but those Brit rags have dug up the first-hand accounts from friends: Pete Doherty's cat is a crackhead. Not only that, once high this pussy thinks it can fly! Sad. Don't just take Pete's pals at their word, though; The Sun got its paws on a pic of Pete administering a rock to his feline via a crackpipe made especially for its itty bitty kitty lungs. The original's tragic, but just think of the LOLCat possibilities. Too late, some folks already did...

Via the Best Week Ever crew:

That's no way to treat your pussy, Pete. Ah, we're all going to hell.

Alright, I've had it with this guy.

Even if he wrote the next "A Day In The Life" I don't think I could listen to it.

It's partially the British press' fault for even continuing to care about this douchebag.

If that's really Pete then that's horrible (though the cat might not even be smoking anything...). It's true he's a gifted song writer, but c'mon Pete. Not cool.

The last line of that article in The Sun is "In the US, crack squirrels are a recognised problem in New York and Washington DC parks."

Ummm, WHAT?!?! I live in New York and that's the first time I heard that.

I've heard of the crack squirrels, but I always assumed it was urban legend, therefore a perfectly legitimate thing to publish as fact in a british newspaper. However, I do know that Pete is responsible for getting Penguins stoned. What's next, Pete? Giving angel dust to prarie dogs?

I don't know what's worse: that Pete Doherty continues to define human scum, and that the media continue to eat it up; or the fact that you morons keep laughing at these idiotic LOL Cats pictures. Both seem to be clear signs that our society is near its end.

The Sun isn't a reliable source. They'll print anything that any body sends them. That could be a pic of anyone that was cropped down so you can't see the face. most of the stories about that the British rags spew out and people take as fact are more fiction than fact.

how can anyone act surprised this is being reported?
trash has always been recycled and sold. i'm really more surprised that people who visit stereogum give a shit. it just legitimizes the thought this might be news.

I suppose people who visit stereogum "give a shit" because Pete Doherty is a brilliant song writer. It just sucks he's fucked up on crack and heroin to the poin that he thinks it's funny to give to a kitten. If that's Pete and if the cat is actually smoking anything.

Comparing the crack photo and the other photo in the article, crack guy looks like he has too full of a bottom lip.

Also, just kind of seems an unlikely angle. Seems probable that picture would feature an entire face. And clearly, if it were PEte Doherty's it wouldn't be cropped. Righ?

One more also- suspiciously close.

But, I mean, if I'm the one filled with BS- ouch for the cat.

Just so non-UK readers know, the Sun is a trashy (but very popular) tabloid, that famously ran a story about a then popular comedian with the headline "Freddie Starr ate my Hamster". Take with a pinch of salt.

As trashy as the UK Sun may be, Doherty a/k/a Captain Sweaty hasn't made their job of exaggeration all that difficult up to now... I wouldn't put it past him to get his cat stoned on crack. I also wouldn't put it past him to be Batboy.

God, how we all miss Batboy.

In conclusion, he's a crackhead.

I've defended him before because of his talent and he had to endure the life-sucking presence of Kate Moss and the empty world she represents. But torturing an animal? That's how serial killers get their kicks when they're interning. Now I'm just counting the days until the cunt dies. If they're selling tickets to piss on his grave, I'll buy a couple.
