This Week In Republican Music

Brit & Kev "are in talks" about taking over MTV's Newlyweds from Nick & Jess (who give their blessing).

Meanwhile, George W has deemed Britney too raunchy (i.e., too awesome) for the RNC. Sucks. At there's still Lee Ann Womack, Jaci Velasquez and Christian rock band Third Day!

Don't forget:

Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, the Charlie Daniels Band, 38 Special, and the Marshall Tucker Band.

Yee Haw NYC.

Maybe that's why Britney is hiding out so much lately-- preparing for the Newlyweds show?

I hate to say it, but Nick and Jessica grew on me. Like the hilarious sod lawn episode.

Taking over Newlyweds? Seems like a step in the wrong direction for her career if you ask me. Newlyweds gave J-Simp her spotlight back. Britney has been queen bee in the pop world for a long time. She could use a little pick-me-up though, and MTV needs that show to stop being so damn wholesome. I'll continue to not watch the show either way.

If this does in fact happen, I predict a seismic shift in America's view of a "precipitous fall." And bigger ratings than Jesus.

Oh wow. I can just see it now:

"Yo yo, who took my shoelaces? Where my dinna bitch?"

"Here baby, I bought these Cheetos 'specially for you. They go really well with a handjob on the balcony."

I cannot wait for the hilarious train wreck that show will be. I hope it comes to fruition.

As the Newlywed show with Britney and Kevin Spears goes on the air, the collective IQ of America drops as well. . .

Apples In Stereo Energize Pepsi Rebranding

As we've mentioned in the past (2007), Robert Schneider's not afraid of the graceful sellout. So, no, we're not surprised that he and his E6 cohorts just scored a Pepsi commercial. (Heck, we already knew how much E6-related bands loved...
