Too Early For Xmas Post

It's a few days before Thanksgiving, which means the XMas posts can start now...

  • KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas. Shins, Interpol, Modest Mouse, and a lot of mallpunk bands that sound alike.
  • Walkmen release a new XMas single as free download. The Walkmen - "Christmas Party"
  • 45 days, with only Pepsi Holiday Spice to drink.
  • Pitchfork on Band Aid 20: "Clumsy ... lazy ... disappointing."
  • Indie-rock stocking stuffer? The Franz Ferdinand winter scarf.
  • Yesterday, Oprah gave her audience a bazillion early Christmas presents. They were FREAKING OUT. Exactly like this.

I searched that merch site for an official Libertines crack pipe, sadly, to no avail. Guess that special someone will be getting a Vince Neil endorsed Beer Bong instead.

    Band To Watch: Blank Dogs

Blank Dogs are actually singular: It's the insanely prolific one-man Brooklyn-based band of Mr. Blank Dog. We don't know too much about the biography of the guy behind the bedroom new-wave pop/punk and he's usually covering his face with masks...

Premature Evaluation: Oasis - Dig Out Your Soul
