During the first 15 minutes or so, I thought this show was painful to watch. As it went on, I kind of felt sorry for britney for being white trashy/ugly/dumb/maybe a little crazy, but as it went on, she seemed to become a little more normal, although still immature. Someone in her "camp" must have some brains, because this is all just some big promotion for her and kevin, who is going to release his own rap album later this year and they will continue making millions. I normally like this sort of thing (I found the Nick & Jessica show and the Anna Nicole Smith one incredibly entertaining) but this made me downright *uncomfortable* to watch.
I realized that the difference is that with Jessica/Anna Nicole, the subjects realized they were being made fun of for their ditziness, and played it up good-naturedly. But here, Britney clearly doesn't realize that everybody's laughing at her, not with her. There's not even a hint of self-deprecation or irony. It just made me feel sorry for her.
