Björk Tö Töur

North Americans, rejoice. Icelandic art queens aren't just for the Sasquatch!-and-Coachella set anymore; Björk has announced a series of shows on this fair continent for the month of May, kicking off with what is already the hot-ticket of Spring '07: 5/2 at Radio City Music Hall. Check the dates (via bjork.com):

May 02 - New York - Radio City Music Hall
May 05 - New York - United Palace Theater
May 08 - New York - Apollo Theater
May 12 - Chicago - Auditorium Theatre
May 15 - Denver - Red Rocks Amphitheatre
May 19 - San Francisco - Shoreline Amphitheatre
May 23 - Vancouver- Deer Lake Park

San Francisco, CA – Shoreline Amphitheatre tickets will go on sale March 24; All other dates will go on sale March 30.

All shows have a presale (info here) set for 3/28, save the SF show, which presales 3/22.

RELATED: A Björk tour is obviously a special occasion, so posting it was a no-brainer. And though, generally, we don't post tour announcements, a good number of you have expressed interest in seeing us write about 'em more. So we wanted to ask: Do you want to see more tour dates on Stereogum? Let us know! We aim to please.

That's awesome news, but what's with the creepy picture? It looks like someone is wearing a latex Björk mask!

And I, for one, would be a-ok with more tour dates posted, always good to know when something worthwhile is coming nearby.

The Radio City Show isn't on Cinco de Mayo.

So do you mean the hot ticket will be Cinco de Mayo at United Palace? Or Radio City (which is on May 2)?

I'm getting an error: "At this moment there are not enough tickets available to fulfill your request. Please try again using a lower quantity or tickets or choosing a different ticket type.".... Got this as soon as 10am.
