Born Ruffians Unveil Album Art, Tour With Cadence Weapon

Born Ruffians's first full-length, Red, Yellow And Blue is still a couple months away from hitting the shelves, but we thought you might want to see what the colorful album art looks like. You remember "Hummingbird"'s sugar rush, right? If not, it sounded and felt like this:

Born Ruffians - "Hummingbird" (MP3)

Even now we get a case of pop vertigo, as is ably conjured by the song's ring-around-the-room video. But there's more to Born Ruffians than one hook. The new album's admittedly back-stacked, but when they nail it, they nail it well (from "Badonadonkey" on, it's all aces). Beyond that, the Toronto trio are heading out on a lengthy tour, joined at all US dates by ex-blogger, current-spitter Cadence Weapon. Album art, tour stops, and a new song by Cadence Weapon after the jump. Consider it your BR/CW one-stop survival kit.

This awesome new tune from the CW, "In Search Of The Youth Crew," is the first single from his forthcoming Afterparty Babies. The track will be available as a download-only single on 2/18 via Bigdada/Ninjatune.

Crazy that they'll be playing a show with Acid Mother Temple. Wonder if Bejar will turn up at all.

I'm sure they aren't playing at Casa. Perhaps they meant Sala Rossa?

Cadence Weapon's probably even better live than on the album. Not your average rapper live set. If it's both Born Ruffians and Cadence Weapon for the Canadian dates, I'll definitely want to check it out.
