Patrick Wolf Assumes The Magic Position In NYC

We know, the chemistry was anything but combustible during P. Wolf's Prince-cover duet with Charlotte Church, but that shouldn't dissuade you NYCers (and those within striking distance) from seeing young Patrick give his excellent Magic Position tunes their American debut next week. He's scheduled three shows on successive nights (at Hiro Ballroom, Studio B, and Don Hill's). The awesome news about the Hiro show, though, is that it's free(!) with RSVP (do it here). Doors for RSVPers open around 10:30.

Also worth noting about the night at Hiro: Before Patrick's set, The Cloud Room -- who'll be debuting new material, joined by 100% Natural Good-Time Family-Band Horn Ensemble -- play the room to benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. On the plus side, it's a great cause with open bar 8-10PM. Down side for the stingy, it costs. But here's a tip: RSVP by emailing here, have that $25 cut down to $15. Drink away and make the world a better place while you're at it.

Take the jump for full info on Patrick's dates and some audio.

04/05 - NYC @ Hiro Ballroom (GBH / BPM Magazine Party w/ The Comas, The Cloud Room & The Rub DJ's)
04/06 – Brooklyn @ Studio B (FUN Party)
04/07 – NYC @ Don Hill's (w/ Misshapes Party)
