New Crocodiles & Graffiti Island From Art Fag 4-Way Split

Art Fag, the tiny label that recently brought us Ye Olde Maid's God Blesses Us, Mother Dresses Us is about to deliver a very solid 4-way split 7" between the recently Sub Popped Dum Dum Girls, BTW Crocodiles, PENS, and Graffiti Island. That's two American Bands (Dum Dums, Crocs) and two British (the other two), if you're counting. We're offering up a listen to Side A: Crocodiles turn in slinky, synth-lined nighttime noise-rock via "Hollow Hollow Eyes" (anyone else hear some "California Dreamin" floating through some of the harmonies?) and London trio Graffiti Island offer a dose of dark, lo-fi, half-speed surf punk via "Moon Tan" (they did a GG Allin split with PENS that'll be out on the band's own Italian Beach Babes soon). There's going to be a tour in conjunction with the release, which will feature Graffiti Island and PENS' first trek(s) into the States. Take a look at those dates while you take a listen (and inspect the cover art a bit more closely).

This 4-way split 7" is out this August (and can currently be pre-ordered) via Art Fag in an edition of 500: 300 black and 200 white (tour only). This summer, Art Fag's also doing a limited-edition Dum Dum Girls cassette anthology, which include all her recordings to date, including covers, unreleased tracks, etc. It'll be issued in three different colors: 50 for Sub Pop, 50 for Rough Trade UK, and 300 for Art Fag.
