09/20 - Montreal @ Quai Jacques Cartier
09/22 - Toronto, Massey Hall
09/23 - Detroit, MI @ The Fillmore

Why are they hating on Maryland/Washington D.C.? Last time they came through it sold out. Sad sad day.

You know, when a band stops in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, that makes it a North American tour, not a U.S. tour. YOU CAN TAKE OUR WATER AND TREES, BUT HANDS OFF OUR BEST CITIES MMKAY!?? Just kidding. Sort of.

the closest they're coming to new orleans is chicago. great. after seeing them at bonnaroo i'd be satisfied without ever seeing any band live ever again, but seeing them again would be epic.

tickets for the boston show are $35 and $25, so i would guess they'll be in that ballpark for all shows.

and to reply to alex, the tickets for boston go on sale through ticketmaster 6/27, so i would guess there will be actual ticket outlets as opposed to the "pre-sale" that starts tomorrow.

Damn, no Atlanta date (or any other south eastern dates, for that matter). It's only been four days since I saw them at Bonnaroo, but already I'm frothing at the mouth to see them again.

Whoa, they're just announcing their US tour now? Live Nation spilled the beans a week or two ago in a Boston Globe ad about their show at the Bank of America Pavilion. I now have something to put in the company's previously desolate "Good" column.

Um, I could get a credit card if I wanted to. I have no real use for one, an ATM works just as well except in situations such as this one.

Anybody having any luck with the pre-sale? It's been a total waste thus far on my end... The site went down about 15 minutes before they went on sale, and I can only get as far as Sigur Ros' page until the pre-sale page times out. This is like the Radiohead pre-sale debacle all over again. Scalpers must have had a field day or something.

Yeah these bands that presale on sites that can't handle the traffic are really annoying. For all the fees and charges you have to deal with and the douche-baggery of the company, at least ticketmaster's site works.

I tried for 30 minutes and when the page finally loaded Toronto was sold out. Bogus.

i've been trying to get tickets since it went on sale and the site is down. now the tickets i want are fucking sold out. WTF.

go to Brooklyn Vegan's Sigur Ros post for some live commenting on various cities' luck with buying the pre-sale tix. The best bet is, even if the city says sold out, go directly to the city page. That's how I got Boston.

Boston represent. I somehow on the whims of a miracle got through and scored tix so I'm a happy gobbledigook right now.

me too! i was able to snag a pair of tickets after the site being down for the first 15 minutes tickets were on sale. anyone know what the deal is with reserved seats? i've been to the pavilion a ton of times and i'm just hoping those aren't the uncovered concourse area seats...cause those suck.

Posted by: melissa  in reply to rob LOWE's comment at 06/21/08 11:24 AM  | Reply

I can't imagine the seats they'd give pre-sell buyers would be the uncovered concourse, because the face value of the tickets we bought is $40. The uncovered concourse seats on Ticketmaster are $25 face value. I'm hoping they're nice enough to give pre-sell buyers seating in at least the first half of the Pavillion.
