Twilight Singers Love You

Their new covers record She Loves You sounds very promising.

Two MP3s here. The Mary J. Blige cover is so much awesome. Highly recommended.

greg dulli is certainly one to flirt around with cover songs. when the afghan whigs covered TLC years back, i was floored.

The cover of Bjork's "Hyperballad" shocked & awed me!

These are both good, but don't quite come close enough to the greatness that is the Twilights' cover of Kate Bush's "Cloudbusting" which is quite simply one of the best cover I've ever heard. Too bad it doesn't seem to be on the album.

Caley -- they're planning to put out another covers record next year, which would presumably include "Cloudbusting," their cover of "Ain't Nobody," and my fingers are crossed for "Hey Ya!"

Also, SHE LOVES YOU is The Bomb Diggety.

i have it, and thought i nearly cried myself silly hearing the hyperballad cover, the rest of it kind of blows (and this from someone who thinks his TLC cover is Brilliant). strange fruit? uh, greg, love ya, but you're no billie holliday. strangely -- or perhaps not so -- the one i like 2nd best is a fleetwood mac cover. those two really are really good, but the rest is pretty shite. sorry, dude. the covers thing is wearing a bit thin.
