Usher Discovers Internet Puns
Usher's new single "debuts" on AOL Music First Listen today (you probably heard about this song months ago). Anyway, it's called "Dot Com" and will be a bonus track on his upcoming DVD. In the grand pop tradition of "IM Me" (lyrics), "E-Mail My Heart" (lyrics), and "My Computer" (lyrics) it is absolutely laughable.
Go here to listen to Usher's "Dot Com."
Can't wait for the Lil' Jon & The Sidekick II Boys Remix.

Amazing thought for the day: There's probably more than one couple in the world who chose that as "their song".

Can someone please make 'Woot!' into some kind of party song, a la Black Eyed Peas? How about 'Woot, there it is?'

Ha ha. The sort of couple that chooses that for a song probably also enjoys Meg Ryan movies, Frappucinos, Shopping Malls, and the Olive Garden. They probably never miss an episode of American Idol, and are already eager for next years Oscars and Grammys.

don't forget "E-mail"

Almost as humorous as the Blink-182 break up news.

You can't forget Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant! Those couples most likely also love Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant and their movies!

Ursher can type? Who knew? He certainly needs to leave the songwriting to the professionals, though... that crap is so bad that it's embarassing, like "have you matured past the age of ten" embarassing...

You forgot Jimmy Smith's "Dot Com Blues."

"Email My Heart" is my favorite. I never want to hear the song, I just want to read the lyrics. It's more Williams Carlos Williams this way, especially when she starts a section with 'Whoa.'
Whoa.

*NSYNC's "Digital Get Down" is conspicuously absent from that list.

there is also a random country song called "www.memory," which should probably team up with usher's "dot com" to make a complete web address.
also, "www.memory" includes the lyric: when you're lonely, just click on me.
indeed.

Hey you forgot to mention Jethro Tull's song 'Dot Com' too. Make it stop! They're making my eye twitch!
