Van Halen Indefinitely Postpone Tour, "Reunion" Lasts 18 Days Longer Than Expected
They made it official via press release on February 2nd, they called it off today. Don't act like you're surprised. Pollstar reports:
It's true. The Van Halen tour that was never officially announced is now officially postponed indefinitely, sources told Pollstar.So much for "the chemistry is combustible," eh Dave?The rumored tour took on an air of reality after a trade magazine announced that original singer David Lee Roth was about to sign on the dotted line, and that was soon followed by a press release via Eddie Van Halen’s spokeswoman-slash-girlfriend.
Unfortunately, the worldwide frenzy of a VH reunion was too good to be true, at least for the present day.However, there was a lot of paper getting inked and Pollstar understands that a tour announcement might not have been far off.

I am a long time VH fan and fell for it like everyone else. Something didn't feel right though and I'm not surprised by the news. I'm at a loss for words with my long time hero and Idol, Mr. Eddie V., except to agree with one of the posts above. The only reason why it's always called "the reunion" tour is because you has been bands don't have enough brain cells left to create any more music. Beethoven and Mozart died from burning them cells out from making music, not from choking on their own puke or blowing their brains out with a shotgun. Looking at that picture, I don't know what the fuck that is, but it ain't Van Halen. I actually think that it's less VH without Michael Anthony than without Roth or Hagar.
It's Anthony's vocals(and pretty damn good bass playing) that was an integral part of their sound. "Panama", "Jamie's Crying", "Best of Both Worlds", you name it, Anthony's voice added a lot to all of them.
The whole thing's a joke now, forget about it. Hopefully they'll at least play together at the Hall of Fame thing.

You would think that if Dave and Sammy can manage to do a tour together anyone could..... Get over yourself's and tour well your all still around and able. If the fans are willing to buy tickets why can't you suit up and show up? A few hours a night for a couple nights a week to make it around to all the states/provences do it for your fans!! We have done it for you all these years!! The ultimate show would be Van Halen I and Van Halen II with the originals.... the Double Feature. Get wolfie a band to open with.
