Venom Confection
BV has some pics from Friday's Beck show at Hiro, along with hilarious excerpts from Craigslisters willing to do ANYTHING for a ticket. Check 'em here. Elsewhere, Pitchfork rates three remixes exclusive to the Guero: Collector's Edition. Stereogum-faves Boards of Canada receive four stars; Dizzee and Röyksopp, not so much. Buyer beware -- some DJ cowboys are griping that the accompanying DVD is riddled with technical glitches.

Hiro setlist via Jason who was underwhelmed by the show. Gotta love random dancing dude, though. Mighty Mighty Bosstones stizz.
Every day a different Beck remix is rocking the iPod. This one's credited to Green, Music, & Gold. No clue who they are, but I dig the good vibrations...

When are you goign to start nameing these mp3s kinda usefully?
"Beck - "Venom Confection (E-Pro Remix By Green, Music & Gold)"" is named "venom.mp3"
how much effort does it take to just leave a little more info in the file?

I'm griping that the accompanying DVD sucks and is useless.
However, I'm not griping that I have to spend 2 seconds renaming an mp3 given to me for free.

I like all of the Beck updates. He's getting almost as popular as Britney up in hurre.

Shit, who wants to get me the Dizzee / Royksopp / BOC remixes? I don't want to buy the $30 DVD version of an album I already have!

the dvd/ book combo set was 19$ something at best buy. not that much of a risk

Who cares what the file is named - the id3 tag is where the meaty info is located. I used to only concern myself with filenames... then I got an iPod. You'll do yourself a favor ignoring filenames and concentrating on the id3 tags.
I actually have the DVD but haven't had the chance to watch it - what kind of glitches can I look forward to?
