Video Hangover: Buckcherry - "Crazy Bitch"

Every week, we dig in the archives for videos that we find noteworthy, memorable, or just unbelievably stupid. And then, Jon McMillan breaks 'em down for you. Why Video Hangover? Because when you watch as many videos as we do, you're going to feel it afterwards.

"Crazy Bitch"
Buckcherry, 2006

Haters of subtlety, your champion has arrived.

This just in: He also likes fucking
Buckcherry lead singer Josh Todd might look like the result of a botched experiment to clone Steven Tyler circa "Pump," but he does get a few things right. He keeps his shirt off, the energy up, and he always takes the time to explain things clearly vis a vis crazy bitches. Just look at the conviction with which he grabs the bars and pantomimes a crazy bitch scratching his back during intercourse! That's fine, fine scuzzy lead singer behavior, people, and it makes me proud to be an American. Or embarrassed. Well, one of the two, anyway.

Buckcherry's music can best be described as:
a) Sleazecore
b) Jerk-rock
c) Sticky Emo
d) Douchewave
e) Not So Good

No respect for music video tradition
"Crazy Bitch," being among the stupidest songs ever written, isn't a likely candidate to add a new twist to the long and distinguished tradition of "cops 'n rockers" videos, and the boys from Buckcherry don't disappoint. I don't care how many Ds the bailiff is packing in her police department-issue stripper costume -- what kind of band goes to jail without confronting a stick-in-the-mud judge, or causing a courtroom to break out in spontaneous mayhem? A lame-ass band, that's who.

What happened to the original strip club version of this video? Oh yeah, they forgot to card the girls and some jailbait got in there. Smooth.

And Klosterman is an idiot, clearly.

It's a good thing nobody here takes themselves too seriously.

I hope they pick Papa Roach's "Last Resort" next. That video is a laugh-and-a-half.
