Video Hangover: Camille - "Gospel With No Love"

Every week, we dig in the archives for videos that we find noteworthy, memorable, or just unbelievably stupid. And then, Jon McMillan breaks 'em down for you. Why Video Hangover? Because when you watch as many videos as we do, you're going to feel it afterwards.

"Gospel With No Lord"
Camille, 2008

Introducing the four sides of Camille: crazy, awkward, crazy, crapping ape.

Okay, this doesn't technically come out of the archives, but I thought it was worth mentioning. At first I assumed this was a Bobby-McFerrin-style cover of that will.i.am song about getting stuff from your Mama (This! Is a Remix!), but apparently it's some nutty French singer with a creepy orifice fixation and a severely limited wardrobe. You have to give Camille some credit for the energy and enthusiasm of all four of her completely gonzo performances, but all the mugging and stomping makes last week's Faith No More debacle look as tightly choreographed as a Drumline battle.

If you choose to watch this video in its entirety, you'll have a few things to look forward to. Some very, very awkward "freestyle" posing and dancing, for example. And -- well, that's all, really. Unless you're into a cappella-ish mouth-music or the color orange. The only reason to stick around past the :10 mark is to find out whether any noteworthy "parts" of Camille sneak their way out of the orange dress. I don't want to give anything away, so ask yourself: Do you feel lucky? Your 3:38-long endurance test begins ... now.
