Amanda Palmer, Beth Ditto, And A Puppet Cover Radiohead

The Gossip and the Dresden Dolls both performed during the True Colors tour stop at Radio City in NYC Monday night, but this Palmer/Ditto duet comes from the afterparty, where shit gets wild and the ukuleles come out. "Creep" is Amanda and Beth's cover of choice, and the duo are joined by "legendary camp puppet celeb, Madame," according to John (who was on hand for the fun). Beth curtsies during the "I want a perfect body" line, someone laughs inappropriately at "What the hell am I doing here?" and there are plenty of drag queens to go around. Madame and Beth making out is just a dollop of GLAD gravy.

I love the woman in the beginning who says, "Ohh, I like this song!" She just reeks of, "Who is that band that sang that 'Creep' song again?"

Never thought of "Creep" as a hula though, so it is interesting.

I wish I was drunk so I could have enjoyed this as much as everyone else. Or rather, drunk, and there. This is only really that cool if you saw it happen. It's a painfully shitty cover, and who the fuck cares? But I did like the black drag queen who looks pretty bored when the camera pans back around. 3/10

As someone who was there, and not drunk enough, I can attest the evening was an absolute blast and this moment was quite surreal!

Oh man that "inappropriate" laugh actually made a video with Beth Ditto wearing a miniskirt, worth watching.

wow, you people are fucking catty as hell. they were drunk and having fun it wasn't supposed to be a serious cover of the song and again the word fun comes to mind...by the way I think it was awesome and both amanda and beth look beautiful as always.

Band To Watch: Blank Dogs

Blank Dogs are actually singular: It's the insanely prolific one-man Brooklyn-based band of Mr. Blank Dog. We don't know too much about the biography of the guy behind the bedroom new-wave pop/punk and he's usually covering his face with masks...
