Arcade Fire Play "Intervention" In A Cafeteria

While we spent our Friday night at a kick-ass benefit concert featuring The Wrens and Takka Takka (at Knitting Factory, proceeds to Planned Parenthood), a school cafeteria's worth of lucky bastards saw a benefit show of their own: Arcade Fire at Canterbury High. The concert's proceeds went to the Canterbury Arts Centre Development Association (which raises funds for the arts magnet school), and tickets were available only to students, association members, and Canterbury alum (which includes Juno Award Winning guitarist Richard Reed Parry, class of '95). Watch it only if you wanna feel worse about crapping out in the Virtual Waiting Room. So when is this thing gonna leak?

UPDATE: Arcade Fire dans un sous-sol d'église! (avec commentaires)!

Ha ha, I went to Canterbury. Attended many dances in that exact cafeteria. While I admire anyone who attempts to raise money for the school system, I'd never do a fucking thing for the pretentious dinks at Canterbury!

Oh yeah, baby! I was there! Graduating 2 years ago didn't stop me from being there. It was worth it to see Arcade Fire, but to be honest the audio was pretty bad (see: School cafeteria) and it was mostly new material. But hearing No Cars Go? Totally made the concert awesome by default.

no cars go is being rereleased on the new album. does this make it new material? imo, it's the only truly good arcade fire song.

Exclusive...to make up for the ticket fiasco, Arcade Fire just scheduled 10 shows in May headlining in the Virtual Waiting Room... I'm excited, apparently the capacity is endless so no one should be shut out.

It's hard to believe some people come in here to comment on a haircut.

Pathetic.

"Intervention" is sooo their best song yet.

I kind of don't even want the rest of the album to leak because this song is so perfect. And I'm willing to be pretty patient about getting to see them.

Oh and screw you guys his haircut isn't bad. I'm glad he sheared those unruly locks.

You really find it hard to believe? Is that maybe because you don't have a humorous bone in your entire body? I was saying it in jest.

OH and here's an MP3 bootleg of their secret show...

the only neon bible torrents are zips of the current leaked songs (which is handy enough) and a fake one that is a kidz bop album or whatever.

they are probably the coolest band in the world, but you are all wrong. Wake Up is without question there greatest song ever. I know it, David Bowie knows it. Enugh said :D I wish my school was cool enough to get these guys in. (I agree though this new track is amazing)
