Bat For Lashes Brings "Daniel" To Kimmel

thumbnail icon: Bat For Lashes Brings "Daniel" To Kimmel

Natasha's made good use of her time on the coasts, combining a couple of hailed shows with a Letterman appearance here, and stopping over at Kimmel's place last night while in the vicinity for some West coast shows. For an album with as much to offer as Two Suns, it might have been nice to see her use this televised appearance to do something other than the LP's signature song, but then it's one of hte year's most exciting singles so why not. This performance for Kimmel won't reveal anything new about the track -- it still sounds great, the Charlotte Hatherley-anchored backing band are still shining on very turn -- but it does present Ms. Khan in a less mystic faery outfit than usual.

Two Suns is out via Astralwerks. Don't forget about "Daniel"'s lo-fi version.

This song rocks my nuts, and she sounds awesome.

She looks like an "If they Mated" between Norah Jones and Zooey Deschanel

nerd alert:
right around the 3:37 mark you can read a little note on dude's keyboard... it looks like "thanks for making me all better Ben"
