Beastie Boys & The Roots Do "So What'cha Want" On Fallon

thumbnail icon: Beastie Boys & The Roots Do "So What'cha Want" On Fallon

So much Beastie Boys all over the place right now. In addition to headlining all the festivals, the guys are systematically re-releasing their discography this year, while also promising a new LP awesomely titled Hot Sauce Committee. Instead of the new, the Beasties used their Fallon appearance to plug their recent Check Your Head reissue by doing "So What'cha Want" with the Roots at their back. It's a logical choice as the album's signature song, but also offers a surreptitious tease to the future when MCA's all "cool as a cucumber in a bowl of hot sauce." Clever girl, Beastie Boys.

Beastie Boys continue their catalog-reissue parade with an Ill Communication release on July 14th (preorders start July 6 on beastieboys.com). For new sounds, stay tuned for the Hot Sauce Committee LP this September, or try "Lee Majors Come Again" right now.

Yes. The best part was when he stood up and yelled: "Beastie Beastie BEASTIE BOYS!" a little unsure about whether or not he should just jump around and be their hype man. How many times do you think he practiced that in the mirror?

MCA was hardly moving around during this. Is he getting arthritis? Also, Fallon needs to crawl back into Lorne Michael's ass.

No surprise that they killed it.
They're live shows have gotten better as time goes on...no joke.
I'm looking forward to "Hot Sauce Committee"

Is it just me or is Mike D starting to look like the lovechild of Perry Farrell and Dustin Diamond?

Is it just me, or did somebody drown MCA and Mike D's faces in makeup? Because they look odd.

Honestly, no one can touch them. All over age 40 and still can drop any song from their catalog at a moment's notice. Kids, take notes. This is how it's done.
