Behind The Scenes Of "Pork And Beans"
You thought it was when Tay Zonday covered the song with Weezer, but it is this, dear friends, that marks the logical conclusion of the "Pork And Beans" meta-meme. We hope. Until the DVD version comes out with Rivers' audio commentary (fingers crossed!). Like the video itself, this little behind the scenes package is fun for its pitting these YouTube Most Viewed stars in contexts outside their original 430px embed windows. Not dramatically different contexts, mind-- I mean, Afro Ninja and Daft Punk hands are what they are, and what they are is a precious thing not to be fucked with -- but at least you get to, like, see the face attached to those Daft hands. Unfortunately not the faces of those boxed up Daft Hands "response video" girls, though.
"Pork And Beans"? More like "Pork And Memes." Sorry I wasn't sure if there would be another chance for that one. The Red Album is out.

AAAAAAAAHHH! I don't care. I thought I did but I just don't. I don't care about this stupid video anymore! Stop with the coverage, for the love of God! It was a funny/stupid little music video the first time I watched it, but why? WHY? WWWHHHHYYYYY? Who needs this much Pork and Beans in their life? Who?
Score = 1
This video makes me happier every time I see it, or anything related to it-- especially the coke and mentos bit behind the band.

It's one thing to see coverage of this video everywhere, but it's another, far worse thing for Weezer to flog the hell out of it. How much shit can you do with Tay Zonday in regards to the ONLY original thing they've done this decade?

Weezer really needs to start making funny, random videos again. Not music videos, videos of them goofing off. During the Green Album era Pat and Karl would pump out the most hilarious videos of them riding scooters through arenas and messing around in the studio. I think Maladroit came with a few of them in CD-ROM form. The band is really at its best when they're relaxing and being silly.
Not that their music is at its best then, but they are.
