Britney's In (And Out Of) Rehab, Bald
TMZ has the scoop on Brit's big day out:
TMZ has learned that while Britney Spears checked-in to rehab, she refused to stay and checked out -- less than twenty-four hours later!Look what happens to her when we stop paying attention! She's such a fucking wreck. Now, we've shown considerable restraint in posting shit like this. But if it was 2005, you know we'd post in a heartbeat. Do you guys like our shift towards keeping things pop tart free? Or would a little update from time to time on Brit and her ilk be appreciated? We would ask if you think she should reenter rehab, but it seems like everyone but her knows the answer to that.As "EXTRA" first reported, the pop star entered a rehab facility two days ago. Now TMZ has learned that the center was located outside of the country, and she refused to stay.
TMZ is told that Britney checked in at the urging of friends and family, after being seen intoxicated in public places and was so "exhausted" on New Year's Eve she collapsed.

On the rehab stuff, I should have checked into rehab since I was like 13,

Some Britney/et al posts now and again are fine. For the majority of us, myself included, it helps reinforce the whole "we're better than you because we listen to indie rock" thing. But ya gotta make sure that it's only a subset of what you're doing. At the end of the day, we come here for the rawk. If we wanted gossip, we'd be at Perez Hilton or Pink.

i really like the gossip. i considered it a big part of stereogum. there are thousands of blogs posting free indie mp3s. this one is different because it's not so hipster elitist in its posts. you get the wonderful music and the celeb news together in one (and quickly, too!). and then it all disappeared. i agree with j - i'd much rather have the old stereogum back in place of the new features with the little pictures on the side (so formatted... why?).
i was looking forward to a post about anna nicole smith, too. and how you would somehow relate it to music.
in the end, it's your blog - write about what you like.
