Death Of The Album Covers

Here's a bleak, apocalyptic video (MOV) on what would happen if the Official UK Charts Co. had their way, as with Beck, in discouraging creative cover art. Actually, it's entirely unrelated, and we don't know just how old the video is -- but it's too funny to care! (At 6.4 MB, it's a right-click-and-save away from your iPod.)

One of our favorite sequences: The Dark Side Of The Moon's prism getting pay-back and decapitating A Rush Of Blood To The Head. (It's only fair.) Go on, shout out your favorite references. (Thanks, Jerry/Metafilter!)

That's fantastic. Too many funny parts to mention, but the fire from "Pyromania" raining down on "Wish You Were Here" and "Nothing's Shocking" sticks out. And Billy Joel vs. Rick James--ha!
