Eddie Vedder Sings Karaoke At An Arizona Best Western

thumbnail icon: Eddie Vedder Sings Karaoke At An Arizona Best Western

Ticketmaster is in the news for sucking again, but this time Eddie Vedder's not behind the uproar because he's been busy doing karaoke at the Best Western Dobson Ranch Inn in Mesa, Arizona. It's part of the Cubs' 2009 Fantasy Camp and the Evanston, Illinois-bred crooner/hardcore Cubs fan gives his all to U2's "Where the Streets Have No Name," shaking off repeat hoots of "I'm going hungry" from one dude in the crowd, making jokes that the sound system's "not as loud as I remember it," and laughingly giving the finger to all the dorks who instantly reach for their cellphones the moment he begins. After that, he has some helpers for, wait, "Yellow S(C)ubmarine." He doesn't seem as drunk as he did the last time he mixed baseball and grunge.

"Where The Streets Have No Name"

"Yellow S(C)ubmarine"

You can also see him sing "I Got You Babe" with a female Cubbie (with a horrible voice). These clips are all via FuelFriends, friends.

One of the all-time classic frontmen in rock. Good to see that a guy can just go out there and have a good time, not taking himself too seriously.

Classic! It is always very cool to see 'larger-than-life' type people such as Eddie Vedder can be so down to earth. Granted, he probably had 1 or 10 too many but now all these people have a great memory and a story to tell their family and friends!

I blurted out a chuckle when I read this headline. It sounds like something from The Onion. It looks like everyone's having a good time, though. He should've done Wilco's "Hotel Arizona" (I know it's a karaoke favorite).

This is amazing. Sort of like Michael Phelps getting caught smoking dope, but way more interesting.
