Feist Performs On Colbert, Has Indie Rock DNA And Dual Citizenship

thumbnail icon: Feist Performs On Colbert, Has Indie Rock DNA And Dual Citizenship

In Leslie's Colbert Report interview we learn that she received dual-citizenship for doing that iPod commercial (truthiness questionable), she uses the word "spangliness," she has indie rock "sewn up in [her] DNA," and her pyrotechnics aren't as impressive as Roger Waters's pyrotechnics. Also, she looks Patti Smith-esque in a tie. Feist also did a stripped-down, explosion free performance of "I Feel It All" (shockingly, there aren't a bunch of indie rockers chorusing behind her), while Stephen stripped-down into her sparkling, blue "1234" outfit.

Still sounding good. And don't forget that awesome Britt from Spoon remix.

i love her!
it is awesome to see women get sucessful who actually sing, rather than just lipsinching and stripping in videoes.

Such an exceptional performer. I really hope to see her live one day.

And Colbert, so dreamy.

"So you're idea of flames and flashpots is a single sparkler? I think we just found out what indie rock is."

Does the guy controlling the camera shots for the performance have ADHD? So many pointless cuts.

Oh great, Satan's trying to get us off the holy path and into the land of Hip Hop again. Bah! The power of Thom compels you!
