Hold Steady Change Stay Positive Digital Release Date, Add Bonus Tracks

thumbnail icon: Hold Steady Change Stay Positive Digital Release Date, Add Bonus Tracks

We trust you've been streaming and enjoying Stay Positive. If you've resisted leaks so far and opted to wait for the real deal, good news: The digital release is available earlier than previously reported. It's on iTunes (exclusively) this coming Tuesday. Craig & Co. are making sure we get these sing-a-long psalms in time to have a "Constructive Summer." Also, if you have downloaded it, don't get too comfortable just yet: The band's adding three bonus tracks to the physical release. We'll drink to that.

According to Billboard.com, "Ask Her For Adderall" is included on both the limited-edition CD and LP. If you go the CD route, you additionally get "Cheyenne Sunrise" (Maybe a link to "Yeah Sapphire"?) and "Two Handed Handshake." Note, though, that these are just on the physical releases, not the digital, etc. In case you want to see if it's worth it, here's "Ask Her For Adderall" live last year:

Stay Positive, in its physical form, is out 7/14 in the UK via Rough Trade and 7/15 in the US via Vagrant. You can also see the band in their physical form:

That's tough, but I think I'm going to have to wait it out and go the LP route. Can't beat that sound. Plus that bonus track is pretty sweet.

Band To Watch: Threatmantics

Threatmantics are a scruffy Welsh rock trio that throw some wrinkles into the scruffy rock formula: Instead of a lead guitarist, they have a lead John Cale viola, and their drummer does double-time with a keyboard. The two guys mixing...
