Huey Lewis & The Foos

thumbnail icon: Huey Lewis & The Foos

We've been talking about Huey Lewis's seeming resurgence, and the bands who love to cover him. He lent his raspy vocal talents to celebrating Jimmy fucking Ben, and now he's showing up on even more random stages. After the Foo Fighters rocked through "This Is A Call" during their final night in Osaka, Japan recently, Lewis moseyed out -- harmonica in tote -- for a bluesy jam with the band. We would've preferred a full-on & The News cover, but hey.

The best part of the video's listening to Lewis fret over when he's supposed to make his entrance. Glad to see the heart of rock 'n' roll's still beatin', Huey.

Love the Foos. They're so good at doing what the do. Probably the only good modern rock band that has radio play these days.

the foos have had diminishing returns IMO, but Dave Grohl's done some awesome work drumming for Killing Joke, NIN and QOTSA in recent years...

Huey Lewis guested on the last Umphrey's McGee studio CD. Those guys rock harder and better than the Foos.
