John Corbett Channels Past Roles For New Video
Remember that episode of Sex & The City in which Aidan invites Carrie to his cabin in woods? Apparently, while Carrie was baking pies and getting chased by squirrels, Aidan snuck out to film a music video.
Watch John Corbett's "Good To Go" here.
Actors recording albums don't surprise us anymore. But when I watch Corbett's video, it just reminds me of Lars Hammond, the shitty new-age musician character he played in Serendipity. I guess it's the hair.
Meta on so many levels. Yet, still shitty. Enjoy.

That video makes me question how I ever thought John Corbett was attractive.

The most recent thing on his IMDB entry that I've seen is Tombstone. Wow. No wonder I didn't recognize the name.

holy pathetic batman. from the "drops of jupiter" plagiarizing of the poorly sung verse to the fake guitar playing... it makes you hope they stop syndicating sex and the city so he won't have the money to keep embarassing himself. send him back to brokeback mountain please. on the same subject, has anyone heard Rick Moranis's new musical endeavor?

Wasn't he hot? Or was it just all the filtering on Sex and the City? Wasn't he too good to keep doing Sex and the City because of his big film career? It makes me doubt my own memory.
What a find.

Hey, Scott's seen Serendipity and was a Sex In The City viewer! He didn't spend VD alone yesterday - he's obviously got a woman in his life!

Oy Vey! That was so bad! Good call on the Train rip off, tommy. I couldn't quite place where I'd heard a (slightly) better version of this song before.

I want to make fun of this so badly, but I can't - it's either too easy, or too sad.

two things: 1. he needs a haircut 2. he needs to stop singing. now.

What a pile of cornpone shit. Note to John "The Fourth Dixie Chick" Corbett: tooling around on a tractor and straddling a bale of hay doesn't make you a country singer.

Yeah I remember that episode...can he really sing though??

lots of dubious facial hair in that vid. funny shit. I wonder where he got the inspiration for the song. I'm gonna guess he was sitting at a stop light watching a funeral procession while listening to crappy fm pop.

I don't feel good after watching (and listening) to that.
Hey! Is that Jason Lee playin' the fiddle in the beginning of the video? I couldn't watch the whole thing and not spray, so I don't know if this guy shows up again in the video and does not resemble Jason Lee (as Earl).

that was SO HARD TO WATCH

i got that train vibe in the beginning too, only John can't sing for s***

No matter what he's done, he will always be the arrogant, obnoxious Alaskan bush shitty deejay from "Northern Exposure" to me.

I saw John Corbett play lastnight in Columbus, and he was great. He sounded fantastic. And no fake guitar playing by the way. He was also the nicest guy, and stayed afterwards to talk to all of his fans (yes mostly sex and the city watchers), sign autographs, take pictures w/ everyone, etc. He seemed like a genuinely nice guy and I was impressed. There weren't a ton of people there, but he seemed to appreciate everyone that was. Just because he's on a farm in the video doesn't make me think he's trying to be a cowboy...that's how he grew up, in West Virginia. Playing it pretty true to life I'd say.

Leave him alone! He not only sings and writes but he is a great singer and song writer! His acting career is only 2nd in his life. His passion is singing and you can hear it, see it and feel it. This is how he is, down to earth and good hearted. There is more than music and acting to John and a piece of him is caught in each role he plays. He is a true humanitarian and philosopher. What do any of ya'll do? Put your singing where your insults are, better yet, do some animal volunteer work or charity work for mankind! I'd like to see ya'll get up and leave your heart on your sleeve! He would never insult you all, it is not in his nature. He is secure with himself, unlike you all. It is just mean right down to the core. What is the matter with ya'll, you must not have anything in life that you do or can be proud of that you have to go around messing with people, especially those that you have no chance of ever coming face to face with. You all think you are in a safe place but the Lord listens and watches. Ya'll really have licked the stripes right off my candy cane and truly sucked the wind from my sails when it comes to humanity. Grow up or just grow inner peace and be productive rather than distructive and negative. May the Lord be with you all.
