Julian Plenti Makes TV Debut On Fallon

thumbnail icon: Julian Plenti Makes TV Debut On Fallon

The "Games For Days" Paul Banks delivered to Jimmy Fallon didn't include any kinky Emily Haines revenge fantasies, but it did come with a prominently featured bearded (and gum chewing) drummer and at least one bad teenage mustache. Also of note: The Julian Plenti Is... Skyscraper single's coiled post-punk thing sounds a bit more muscular live.

Julian Plenti Is... Skyscraper is out via Matador.

that's as pish as Interpol, but admittedly in a different stylee. When will that nob-end stop singing in his affected vocal? It'll be like when the Jawbreaker guy stopped doing his...bad for their record sales, but a feckin' good laugh.

this is why you guys aren't cool anymore. this write-up fails to acknowledge that this sounds no different from interpol and more importantly features Mr Mike "ratatat" Stroud on lead axe - 'dude rocks and is saving the performance.

I believe that is also Matty from the Rapture on bass.

In all these years, I've never heard anyone acknowledge that before Ratatat, Mike Stroud was the original guitar player for Dashboard Confessional. Why is that?

I'm liking this marginally less with no Emily Haines involved.

His band mates are not clad in black? Oh the horror.
