Kermit The Frog: "New York, I Love You But You're Bringing Me Down" The fact that James Murphy is behind (in more ways than one) this amusing Simon Owens-directed video starring the downtrodden frog, earns LCD Soundsystem's main man points for admitting he totally sounds like Kermie on the Sound Of Sliver closer. Take a look.

Well, if you’d watched the video until the end, you would have seen James Murphy sticking it up Kermits bottom…

You're of course right. Kermit's sadness was too painful the first time, so we didn't make it all the way to the end. Post is updated.

They need a little Electric Mayhem at the end to rock out. I can just imagine Dr. Teeth banging away on the keys with that shit-eating grin.

Needs Kermit's trademark flailing arms towards the end of the song when the drums kick in. That would make it perfect.

uhhh, I understand why you did not see the video all the way through the first time around: it's kind of redundant and boring after the first minute. it would have worked better as a clip or at least more action in the video!

it's still kinda cute

So do you think Mr. Murphy made this video because he realized after the fact that his voice sounds a little like Kermit's, or do you think he originally sang it like Kermit on purpose because it's got that sad tinge to it?
