KT Tunstall Walks Like An Egyptian

Turns out Tunstall decided to take on the Bangles classic because her new single "Hold On," "has a similar groove." Brave of her to admit that. We also learn that she grew up in the '80s and "Walk Like An Egyptian" made her feel "that it might be cooler to be a girl than a boy." (We may have to agree.) Watch how the real Bangles are projected like '80s ghouls in the background (you go, Susanna Hoffs). Not all of the cover's up to the original, but at least they nail the whistle part.

She makes us wait 'til the end for that King Tut.

I'm glad to hear she's been honest about it. I thought Hold On had an Egyptian vibe when I first heard it, which is why I mashed the two: http://s225705621.websitehome.co.uk/2007/12/02/hold-on-like-an-egyptian/
