Letters To Cleo Reunite In LA

thubmnail icon: Letters To Cleo Reunite In LA

Last month we told you Letters to Cleo were reuniting for some shows in LA, Boston, and NY. Many of you were very excited, with one commenter going so far as to claim they "actually kinda rule" and another admitting "Here And Now" gave him "nostalgic sophomore-year chills." So in case you weren't at the Roxy Saturday night, we've got video of "Find You Dead" and the aforementioned "Here And Now" (from the classic album Melrose Place: The Music).

"Find You Dead"

"Here And Now"

This is not the rare return to the spotlight it might seem. Last year at this time, singer Kay Hanley and drummer Stacy Jones were performing in Miley Cyrus's band on the Hannah Montana Best Of Both Worlds tour. There was a cute interview with Kay about it in The Boston Globe, where we got the above photo. (Thanks James for that tip.)

The Letters To Cleo reunion continues with hometown shows at Boston's Paradise Rock Club 12/8 and 12/9, and NYC's Bowery Ballroom 12/11.

Letters To Cleo broke up? Julia Stiles hasn't made a movie in a while, so I had no idea.

Because bands like Ra Ra Riot, the Shins, and Sonic Youth have so much more credibility when they appear on Desperate Housewives and the Gilmore Girls.

Holy Shit! Letters to Cleo was my favorite band when I was like 14, and were the top of the spiral into music nerd-dom. They were my first concert back in 1996.

Every so often I pull out their albums, and while I appreciate more variety now, these still hold their own.

I heard about LTC about 12 years ago. And why is it so strange? Because I am from Hungary and I am telling you that time noone else in the country ever heard of it. SOO, I am the lucky ONE!!
