Matt & Kim Play Kimmel

thumbnail icon: Matt & Kim Play Kimmel

Brooklyn indie pop duo Matt Johnson and Kim Schifino brought their cheery Bacardi-approved stylings to late night TV, but didn't take their clothes off. Maybe they are saving that for Letterman. It can't possibly be a one-time thing. Check out the performance followed by the answer to one fan's burning question.

Glad that's settled.

Matt And Kim - "Daylight (Troublemaker Remix Feat. De La Soul)" (MP3)

Grand is out on the FADER label.

those drums sound awesome... it might be because they're next to such a horrible fucking key player/singer.

Really, this is so terrible-- 7th Grade talent show shit. Who the fuck allows this on national T.V.?? This "indie" movement has created more garbage than good. Total douche chills watching that.

Random, unrelated question:

There was a video posted in the last six months or so...a blonde girl walks to a swimming pool, disrobes into a bathing suit, dives in, and wakes up from a fantasy of drowning (iirc).

What video was that?

This is shit I would expect to see at a house party in my teens, not national tv.

And Kim's constant maniacal grinning makes me uncomfortable.

These two need to hire a bass, player, a second guitarist, and a second drummer and then quit the band. This makes Wavves seem like The Who live. I don't think these lil' two people bands realize how much they're ruining their reps with these lame-ass live shows. No ones gonna wanna see a band like this a second time.

Stop complaining. The song is great. the only reason it sucks live is that Kim's drums are so much louder than Matt and his keyboard.

Godammit, no I have to put forks in my eyes and red hot knitting needles in my ears. Love the drum stand though, she must have practiced that for minutes.
