MGMT Cover Laid Back
Oracular Spectacular Brooklynites MGMT recently stopped by KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic and performed a set that included a cover of '80s Danish synth-poppers Laid Back's "Roger" (you might've thought they'd go with "White Horse," if you happened to be thinking about '80s Danish synth pop). The last we'd heard from MGMT they were being covered by the Kooks, so it's good and circular to see them in the driver's seat. You can watch the clip of "Roger" over at KCRW, where they also have the entire set streaming.

I love these kids and gladly forgive them their precious ways.
I sense that they are the kind of stoned dudes who are childish by day but turn into mother hens at the end of the night, going about making sure that all the other stoned people are out of traffic and well-hydrated and have a blanket or a jacket over them.
