My Morning Jacket - "What A Wonderful Man" Live At Bonnaroo

Some footage from the best act Stereogum's seen so far. My Morning Jacket took over That Tent Friday at midnight with a blazing set heavy on Z cuts and covers (the Who, the Stones, the Band). Rock's best kept secret no longer, in their fourth year at the fest MMJ were not to be missed.

Enjoy. Streaming later today at the AT&T Blue Room (CST):

Speaking of covers, when they started playing Attitude by the Misfits I had to do a double take...expect some mp3s from a lot of the bonnaroo performances on my site in the near future - rock!

This is the best band in America currently. Hands done. I feel sorry for all the haters.

Thank you for uploading this video, scott.
I really enjoyed MMJ's latest album!
One of few bands that really impress me these days.

besides louisville 03 and 05, toronto 04, and this year's hunter mt jam..... it used to be that Bonnaroo 04 was their trademark show as they seemingly summoned on a huge thunderstorm during their set, 05 wasn't so epic, but their was a lot of puppetry and of course the maestro

this year outdoes everything expected and THEN they played a quick one while he's away.... they've outdone themselves, and might have to play their entire catalogue plus the covers to outdo this show next year

Agarg, live bootleg + youtube audio = horribleness x 1000. Doesn't sound too bad otherwise.

mmj killed...and i was just watching the stream. i can't believe they did a full cover of 'a quick one while he's away' followed by 'lovin' cup' and THEN 'attitude'...and they even tossed in their great cover of it makes no difference (minus ed vedder). they played the bear and phone went west for the first time in ages and ended with an epic version of run thru. 30+ songs, 3+ hours...damn i wish i was there. i will be looking forward to the boots on this one, free or if i have to pay to DL.

The MMJ show was a full body experience....I've never seen such an intense set!!! The crowd was small in comparison to Radiohead (also an blow the doors off concert), but the crowd was amped from the start!!! After Bonnaroo 06 I am seriously contemplating never going to any bands tour dates, I'll hit up festivals for the duration. Either way, MMJ rocked every song, the only way to explain the show is EPIC....and I feel bad for those who missed the show.

Go to bt.etree.org and download this show now - it is incredible. Love this band - no question about them being the best thing rock has to offer at the moment. Glad to see them finally getting the praise they deserve!

Wow. My Morning Jacket rocked my face off at Bonnaroo! Their performance ranked right up there with Radiohead!

Quit Your Day Job: Ungdomskulen

The Bergen trio Ungdomskulen play proggy post punk, mixing chops and hooks with a sense of humor. But they don't sound like Primus. When I was in Norway a couple years ago, "Ungdomskulen" seemed to be on everybody's lips (or...
