New Acorn Video - "Flood Pt. 1"
Earthy indie rock crew the Acorn have taken their time in delivering an official video -- their worthy Glory Hope Mountain got its first mention here a half-year ago -- but with a graphic designer, a visual artist and a web programmer amongst their ranks, being deliberate about putting images to their music is not surprising. Director Christopher Mills gets the nod for the ebullient and polyrhythmic claps and stomps of "Flood Pt. 1," and sets eye-catching layers of 2-D animation to Rolf Klausener's chants of rushing rivers and sunny valleys. Great song, great video.
