New Amazing Baby Video - "Head Dress"

thumbnail icon: New Amazing Baby Video - "Head Dress"

Judging from your comments whenever we post about this Williamsburg post-Wesleyan crew, folks are sharply divided on Amazing Baby. The Lenny Tso-directed video for Infinite Fucking Cross's "Head Dress" isn't likely to sway hardliners in either direction, but its waterside frolic, smoke machine, designer threads, and sexy girls who can dance for real (kind of) will make the MGMT comparisons easier. To be fair, it's less Amazing Baby-like than the "Pump Your Brakes" clip, so maybe it'ill soften a few hearts.

Slash's influence on that fireside soloing cannot be denied.

You can still download the Infinite Fucking Cross EP for free at the band's site. Debut LP to come.

i don't know what the problem is... i've met some of these guys and they seem nice enough and genuine. but everything about how they present themselves/are presented by whomever, gives me strong candlebox vibes - i.e., a band at the tail end of some trend, grasping on tightly to certain stylistic signifiers that will seem impossibly dated in 6 months, if not already. why is that??

Sterogum. Why do you keep posting about them? Amazing Baby are terrible. They are really just so, so, so bad.

Why doesn't anybody listen to music anymore? All I hear is they sound like this and they look like that. Their music is great and they sound nothing like MGMT. I saw them live and they were real musicians. All the haters need to stop whining!

very nice music, it is a pity that only few people honour this

It's kinda dumb, and only the drummer seems to be wearing his own clothes, but at least the video seems "directed" and "edited," unlike the wtf "pump yr breaks" clip. i like these guys a lot.

I saw these guys by mistake at mercury lounge a few weeks back, and I had never heard of them until then, so i was completely objective. their singer is really awful and portrays himself in a toolish fashion. they have nice amps and stuff, thanks mom and dad!
